Ronan Keating put
in Room 101... 29-10-03
Clean-cut crooner Ronan Keating has spoken out about his pet-hates on the BBC's
hilarious show Room 101 and amongst his choices are pop stars who mime and have
a large entourages.
He may not be the most outspoken of Irish singers when you put him up beside the
likes of Bono, Bob Geldof, or Sinead O'Connor (thank God!) but Ronan Keating has
finally got his grievances off his chest on the Paul Merton Show Room 101.
On the upcoming show Ronan tells the show's host what really gets under his skin
including:
Singers who mime: "There is no excuse for the artist miming."
Pop Star Entourage:
"Some people actually travel with their own make-up chairs."
Hangovers: "I had
been found asleep on the doorstep with a quilt wrapped around me."
Rudeness: "Rude people in general annoy me."
The prerecorded show will go out on Monday, November 3rd... God Bless!

gespeeld.
RONAN WANTS A BIG
HIT - 28-10-03
Former Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating has come out as a bit of a hardnut all of
a sudden by issuing a warning to Stephen Gately's husband.
Ronan spoke out after we revealed Stephen and his husband were involved in a
drunken brawl outside the The Ivy in London this month.
And the Irish warbler has told Andrew Cowles that if he messes with Stephen,
he'll have him and his mates to answer to.
"I read about what happened and I've tried to call Stephen to see if he's
ok," Ronan told us. "If I were Andy I'd think carefully about what he does.
Stephen's got a lot of friends looking out for him. If he smacked him again,we
would sort him out."
We bet Andy's really scared.

BOYZ BURY
THE HATCHET - 24-10-03
Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch have been reconciled in an emotional reunion.
The former Boyzoners fell out badly after Shane blamed Ronan for the band
splitting up.
But at a showbiz bash in London this week, the pair were reunited with firm
handshakes and manly hugs.
Shane told Ronan: "It's great to see you, buddy. It's been so long.
How are you and the family? It's great to see that you are doing so well."
Ronan replied: "Very well, please God. I'm really happy. The kids
are fantastic."
After exchanging phone numbers, the pair promised to meet up soon for a drink.
Shane said later: "Ronan's a top fella. I'll not be having anymore rows
with him."
RONAN KEATING new
single - 25-10-03
Belonging to the '90-s generation of pop boys bands like "Take That" or
"Backstreet Boys", the former Boyzone's brain and one of the most remarkable
contemporaneous Irish musical figures - Ronan Keating - has got back recently
under the spotlights with a new single launched on the 29-th of September and
entitled "Lost for Words", a song meant to promote his upcoming third solo album
"Turn it on".
After many years wasted in a band which didn't allow him to express himself
artistically at his real value, as well as his generation mate, the ex-"Take
That" Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating decided to start a solo career.
Not a bad decision, considering the fact that out of his collaboration with
Boyzone, the only song worthy to be remembered is "Baby Can I Hold You Tonight",
where for the first time the boys decided, due to the obvious influence of their
leader, to give up to their sham 'starched' image and to place the emotions in
the foreground.
But the radical change of sound and image came for Ronan Keating together with
his first step in the solo career, fact that allowed him to release two albums
including hits which succeeded one by another.
Only from the first album I could remind the energical show songs like "Heal me"
or "Life is a Rollercoaster", as well as unforgettable ballads like: "The way
you make me feel" or "When you say nothing at all". Unlike most of the American
male idols, cerebral, serious and modest, with an anti-extravagant look and
endowed with a tonic and at
the same time profound and interiorized personality, in a short time he
conquered the unofficial title of "the British souls' harbinger". But the top of
his career was still on its way. It has been reached only on his second solo
album entitled "Destiny", with his mega- success "If Tomorrow Never Comes", a
spiritual revelation, a creation that occurs only once in an artist's life,
meant to arouse the feelings of the most insensitive audience. After he
accustomed us with lyrical performances oozing in sensitivity, now, in a better
shape than ever, Ronan Keating proposes for the year 2003 a relaxing song,
probably not as memorable as some of his previous hits, but performed with
feelings by an experienced artist whose self-assured voice and professionalism
cannot let any of us indifferent.
You may see the full-length video for the single "Lost for Words" on his
official website in the "music" section.

KEAT'S SUITE -
23-10-03
Who'd have thought the good boy of pop Ronan Keating would be involved in a
saucy hotel romp?
Well, sort of...
The former Boyzone crooner was at the launch party for boy band Phixx's new
single Hold On Me at No. 5 Cavendish Square on Tuesday night and decided to book
himself a £350 a night room at the private club.
But after hitting the sack at about midnight, the Irish singer couldn't get to
sleep so he decided to re-join his chums in the bar downstairs and continue
partying.
Dopey Ronan left his door open - and when he returned he walked in on a
drunkenly amorous couple who were getting down to it on his bed.
"It was hilarious," said a friend of Ronan's.
"Ronan rushed back downstairs to tell everyone and he was giggling like crazy.
He was very decent about it - he quietly closed the door and let them be.
"He then returned later with a bottle of champagne for them. The couple were
really embarrassed."

Lands Movie Role 20-10-03
Irish singer Ronan Keating is to play a robber alongside Vinnie Jones in the new
Brit flick named Guns, Money And Home Cooking, according to British tabloid The
Sun.
Shooting starts next month in Cornwall, where the film will be directed by Nadia
Tass. Anna Friel will also join the cast, which tells the story of a group of
friends who decide to try crime as a career after leaving college.
The ex-Boyzone frontman will be portrayed as we've never seen him before, as a
gun-wielding crook.
"This is a new avenue for me and I'm really excited. The first day will be
nerve-racking. I hope it works out but music is still my number one priority."
The Sun quotes a source close to the project as saying: "We wanted someone to
play one of the robbers who you just wouldn't expect. I think it's fait to say
you wouldn't tag Ronan Keating as a gun-wielding crook. But we think it will
work - he's actually a very good actor."
